Delete your data

PresetKey holds a licence record on presetkey.com and, if you connected one in an earlier beta build, a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account. This page is how you remove either one, and what happens when you do.

Connected social accounts

PresetKey no longer connects social accounts. An account connected in an earlier beta build is deleted with your licence record, as set out below, or on its own if you email ibra@presetkey.com from the address your licence key was sent to and name the account. You can also revoke PresetKey’s access at the platform yourself at any time.

Revoke access at the platform

Google lists every app you have granted access to on its security settings page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Instagram lists them under Apps and websites in its own settings, and TikTok under Manage app permissions. Revoking there stops PresetKey from posting even if a token survived somewhere. When a YouTube grant is revoked on Google’s page, presetkey.com deletes that account’s row, its tokens and its label within 30 days.

Delete everything presetkey.com holds

Email ibra@presetkey.com from the address your licence key was sent to and ask for deletion. That removes the licence record, free, beta or paid (the email address, the licence status, the opaque device identifiers used for the device limit, the activation date and the last verification time), and every connected account attached to it, which the database deletes along with the licence; accounts held at Zernio are removed there by the next daily sweep. The bug reports sent with your key go too, including the copies emailed to that inbox. We complete a deletion request within 7 days. Your licence key stops working when the record goes, so ask only if you mean it.

Data on your own computer

The panel keeps your profiles, your key bindings, any tokens it holds and the record of each upload under %APPDATA%\HyperKey. Removing the extension does not remove that folder. Delete it yourself to clear everything PresetKey has written to your machine.

What we cannot delete

Deleting what PresetKey holds does not delete anything stored by YouTube, TikTok or Instagram. A post that has already been published belongs to your account on that platform, and it stays there until you delete it there: a YouTube video in YouTube or YouTube Studio, a TikTok or Instagram post in that app. We have no way to remove it for you, and we do not keep a copy.
